Gold Alert - Tasmania and New Zealand Flights cancelled 23 June

URGENT COMMUNICATION


TASMANIAN AND NEW ZEALAND FLIGHTS REMAIN CANCELLED DUE TO VOLCANIC ASH CLOUD  

UPDATE : 08.30am, 23 June 201




We are delighted to advise most flights across Australia have resumed, however  Volcanic ash from the eruption of Mt Puyehue Cordon Caulle volcano in Chile continues to cause flight disruptions to Tasmania and Trans Tasman services.

Goldman Travel consultants will again be hard at work to rebook affected travellers.   We will keep you informed of flight status updates as they are made available.

Thursday 23 June
Domestic services
Qantas

Tasmania services prior to 5pm local time, Thursday 23 June have been cancelled. All other Tasmanian services are under review.
All other domestic services are operating as scheduled. Minor delays are expected across the domestic network.
Virgin Australia

Services into Hobart and Launceston will be suspended until the afternoon of Thursday, 23 June  
Services to and from all other mainland cities resumed on Wednesday, 22 June 2011, including Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, Albury, Newcastle, Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour

Jetstar

Flights to and from Launceston remain cancelled until approximately 1200 AEST, 23 June.
Flights to and from Hobart remain cancelled until approximately 1700 AEST, 23 June

International services

Qantas
Flights to and from New Zealand are cancelled for the duration of Thursday 23 June.
QF63 from Sydney to Johannesburg is operating via Perth.  Estimated arrival into Johannesburg is 12.05am, Friday 24 June.
All other international services are operating as scheduled with minor delays.


Virgin Australia

The volcanic ash plume has now drifted over New Zealand, resulting in the ongoing suspension of all Pacific Blue services to and from New Zealand.

Jetstar

All services to and from New Zealand - including all domestic and Trans Tasman services - will be cancelled for the entire day, 23 June
